Withybrook Memorial

 

Withybrook is a small village in Warwickshire some 7 miles North West of Rugby.

The War Memorial  consists of a  tablet in All Saints’ Church, Withybrook recording those who laid down their lives in the Great War 1914 – 1918.


Charles Eversden Private No 307756 1/8th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment,  Killed in action 23rd October 1918 aged 36 years.  Buried Pommereruil  British Cemetery, Nord. 

William Eversden Private No 17458 10th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment.  Died of wounds 12th November 1917 aged 33 years.  Buried Mont Huon Military Cemetery, Le Treport 16 miles NE of Dieppe. 

George Alfred Haycock Private No. G/17124 13th Battalion Royal Sussex Regiment.  Died 22nd July 1918.  Buried Tincourt New British Cemetery, east of Peronne. 

Percy Walter Frederick Ingram Private No 4449 2nd Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment.  Killed in action 21st March 1916 aged 20 and buried Point 110 New Military Cemetery, Fricourt, Somme.

James William Parnell Corporal No 4448 1st Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment.  Killed in action 23rd July 1917 aged 22 years.  Buried Crump Trench British Cemetery, Fampoux  East of Arras.
