Commemorated on the Loos Memorial.  Son of William and Mary Dunn of The Manor House, King’s Newnham, Rugby, Warwickshire.  Formerly 2312 Warwickshire Yeomanry.  M.Sc. Birmingham University, Fellow of Institute of Chemists.

No. 10122 Lance Corporal Ernest Payne 11th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment killed in action 15th July 1916 aged 31 years.  Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.  Son of Joseph Payne of Pailton, husband of S F Payne of Brinklow, Rugby, born Pailton and enlisted Rugby.  Also commemorated on the War Memorial at Pailton.
